Construction Equipment Repair

Service Beyond the Highway

Big Rig Fixer works on construction equipment as well as trucks and trailers. Bring us the machine details and the problem you need solved, from a starting concern to a maintenance plan for your working fleet.

Loaders, Excavators & Working Machinery

We work on construction equipment as well as the trucks that support it: wheel loaders, skid steers, excavators, backhoes, and other jobsite machinery. Engine, starting, charging, cooling, hydraulic, and control concerns can all keep a machine from completing its task. Include the machine model and serial number plus the engine and attachment information when available.

Describe the affected action: traveling, steering, lifting, digging, or powering an attachment. Explain whether several functions lose performance together or only one stops working. A machine that moves normally but cannot operate its attachment needs a different assessment from an engine that will not start. We plan service around the installed equipment and the actual symptom.

Hydraulics, Attachments & Jobsite Support Trucks

Leaks, damaged lines, slow movement, or a control that no longer responds belong on the repair request with engine and chassis concerns. Include operating hours and previous work. Construction equipment maintenance should follow the machine and attachment requirements, not a truck mileage interval applied to every asset.

For the supporting fleet, we also service dump trucks and bodies, PTO-driven equipment, and hydraulic systems. List the machines and trucks that need attention so downtime and service priorities can be discussed together.

Keep the Machine and Its Working Systems in View

Construction equipment has a different work pattern from a road truck. A machine can accumulate operating hours while traveling very little, and a concern may appear only when a working function is in use. Tell us what the equipment was doing when the problem started, whether it was hot or cold, and which warnings appeared.

We provide diagnostics, repair, and maintenance for equipment owners and contractors. Engine, electrical, driveline, and equipment-system concerns should be described separately so the initial service discussion addresses the actual complaint. We also service the trucks and trailers that support your operation.

Plan the Work Your Equipment Needs

  • Engine and Starting Concerns

Report hard starting, changes in power, leaks, or warning messages. Include the engine identification and recent service history.

  • Electrical and Operating Faults

Describe the affected function and whether the fault changes with temperature, movement, or a particular attachment.

  • Maintenance and Repair Planning

Bring the manufacturer’s schedule, hour readings, open defects, and the dates the machine can be released from the job.

What to Send With Your Request

Provide the machine and attachment information separately when applicable. A vehicle VIN may not identify off-highway equipment; the machine model and serial number are the useful starting point. Confirm transport, access, and the planned service location before moving equipment.
  • Machine make, model, serial number, and operating hours
  • Engine identification and attachment details, if relevant
  • Symptoms, exact warnings, photos, and recent repairs
  • Jobsite or shop access, equipment dimensions, and approval contact

Construction Equipment Service Questions

Do You Work on Equipment That Is Not a Road Truck?
Yes. Big Rig Fixer works on construction equipment and other equipment as well as trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. Send the make, model, and concern so we can discuss the specific work.
Should I Send Hours or Mileage?
Send operating hours and any other readings specified by the equipment’s maintenance schedule. Include mileage if the equipment records it, but do not use road mileage as a substitute for required hour-based service.
Can You Service Equipment at the Jobsite?
Mobile/on-site service is offered. Location, access, equipment condition, and the work required determine the service plan. Call to confirm arrangements before expecting a site visit.
