An ABS Lamp Is a Starting Point
Record whether the ABS warning belongs to the tractor, trailer, or both, and whether it remains on or appears intermittently. Report braking-performance concerns separately. A lamp does not establish that a wheel-speed sensor needs replacement; power, wiring, connections, signal quality, and other system components may need investigation.
Do not erase fault information simply to extinguish the lamp. Bring the exact codes if available and tell us about recent hub, brake, axle, or wiring work. If stopping ability is reduced or another immediate safety concern is present, stop safely and arrange assessment before moving the equipment.
- Warning location and exact code
- Conditions when the lamp appears
- Recent brake or wheel-end work
