Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of diesel technicians, overseeing their work to ensure safe and efficient practices.
  • Manage daily operations, including assigning work orders, scheduling shifts, and coordinating shop activities to optimize productivity.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel trucks and engines, including refrigerated transport units utilizing OEM diagnostic software.
  • Maintain and repair diesel engines from multiple manufacturers, perform general heavy-duty truck & equipment repairs/maintenance.
  • Oversee the inventory management of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure quality control, adherence to timelines, and maintain open communication between various levels of management.
  • Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular shop inspections, and promote a safety culture.
  • Responsible for overseeing parts/tools/supplies and managing shop expenditures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed for invoicing, reporting purposes, and compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of advanced/complex diesel truck and engine repair experience.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role such as Lead Mechanic, Supervisor, or Foreman.
  • Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic software and other computer programs including electronic work order systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; a CDL (Class A or B) is highly preferred.
  • Must own a set of tools and be able to pass pre-employment background checks.

Shift Schedule

  • Full-time
  • 40-Hour per week  
  • Mon - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm w/30 min lunch
  • No Overtime requirements
